Hi, sorry for the late response, but I figured that I'd post back with an update..
The code I edited my last post with a link, DID the trick.. it actually fixed both the topic and the reply subjects..
I even tried to jerry-rig it for MyBB by replacing it with MyBB's counterparts, but it didn't work, and I am not one to look a gift horse in the mouth, so I called it a day, well night.. I guess, either way, I was up until 4 a.m. and I was satisfied with the fact that, I at least got the PhpBB part of this debacle done.
I did my conversion, and everything went well.. I just have to see what happens when I merge the converted MyBB db into my main forum.. *fingers crossed*
If I had to guess what caused this in the first place, I would say that it might've been some corruption on Tapatalk's part, and honestly, I am not surprised, since I stopped using their app and plugin YEARS AGO.. and so, I suppose that like an Ouroboros, it was eating itself.. or its own worse enemy where this was concerned..
it's probably the reason why admins are fleeing their service as it is..
