Hello all, a few years ago now I added a ext that stopped the general public from seeing the full topic, the idea was to basically get people who would not normally join a forum off the fence and registering and hopefully becoming a longer term posting member etc, however I noticed on a monthly basis I was getting hundreds of new members join but a huge majority never created any posts.
To keep a genuine membership counts I have been pruning zero post accounts for several years now, today I had around 1000 user accounts I removed and finally come to the conclusion my idea was not really working![:oops:]( "Embarrassed")

I think basically people were joining to basically get specific information person to them and thats it not posting and maybe never coming back ? all these members are not like long term posters I anticipated would be joining![:(]( "Sad")
Any thoughts on this idea much appreciated and if anyone else as tried such a EXT and reverted back please let me know why ?
